VMWare Support With Marshal Product Line

Marshal8e6 confirms that we will support customers running Marshal product line Base products on the supported Operating Systems for those products in a VMware virtual machine environment. The supported products are:

• MailMarshal SMTP v6 and above
• WebMarshal v3.5 and above
• MailMarshal Exchange v5.2 and above
• Security Reporting Center v2.1 and above

Marshal8e6 will provide unqualified support for the Marshal base products named above running in a VMware virtual environment in an identical manner as with Marshal base products running on any other major x86 based systems without initially requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Should Marshal8e6 suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an incident, the customer will be required to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue.

While Marshal products are expected to function properly in a VMware virtual environment, there may be performance implications which can invalidate typical sizing and recommendations found in Marshal8e6 documentation.
